Anniversary Steering Committee

The Anniversary Steering Committee oversees, advises and supports the execution of the entire Women’s Power to Stop War Movement. The Steering Committee members meet at least once a month, report to Excom and know all things Women’s Power to Stop War.

International Anniversary Coordinator

The International Anniversary Coordinator coordinates and executes the Movement at the international level. This involves everything from strategic planning, fundraising, and reaching out to our Sections and partners, to the practical issues of Conference Programme planning, web-development and supporting the Anniversary Working Groups.

Anniversary Working Group on History

The Anniversary Working Group on History aims to celebrate, highlight and discover the rich history of WILPF, of our foremothers, as well as of the global women’s and peace movements so closely connected to our work. The Working Group has two aims; firstly, to support the work of each national section to research and document the history of their Section; and secondly, to research and document WILPF’s history from an International perspective. Their work, together with the work of our Sections, will be brought together in The Hague in April 2015, celebrating 100 years of activism.

Anniversary Working Group on Political Content

The Anniversary Working Group on the Political Content is tasked with identifying, summarizing and expressing the political objectives of WILPF in its diverse global membership. The group strives to invite and encourage information from all members, especially from those whose voices are not often heard. The group will especially focus on reviewing 1) how WILPF’s political objectives are expressed in the draft Manifesto, and, 2) identify issues that should be included in the program events of 2015.

Anniversary Working Group on Art and Entertainment

The Anniversary Working Group on Art and Entertainment is still looking for members, so if you have the creative touch join the group now!

The Working Group will be focusing on the programme of the Anniversary Festival, to be held on the 28th of April, 2015 as part of the Conference Programme, as well as supporting our Sections to express their work through artistic means and help bring their work together in 2015.

WILPF Netherlands

WILPF Netherlands is our WILPF Section responsible for all logistics involved in the Anniversary. They will be looking at coordination with the major venues in The Hague, as well as hotel bookings, travel and visa arrangements and support on the ground.
